The night comes alive with the screening and afterparty for  “American Pot Story: Oaksterdam,” a full-length documentary that delves into the unknown origin story of how a handful of underdogs and activists risked everything to ignite the worldwide cannabis revolution of the last decade. The film features Oakland’s rich history of civil resistance, the important leadership role of Oaksterdam University in the cannabis legalization movement, and unpacks the intersection of cannabis activism as an act of social justice and human rights.
